| How do I schedule my job and receive an installation date? When we receive a signed contract and a deposit, an approximate installation date will be assigned. At that time, the stone will be reserved and/or ordered. Please keep in mind that jobs are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.. |

| Can I install granite, marble or quartz on top of my existing countertops? No. We require that all cabinets be bare before installing stone on them. If you wish to have us handle the demolition of the existing countertops, please advise the sales office in advance.. |

| Do I need to hire a plumber and/or electrician to come after the installation to connect my plumbling and electrical devices? Yes, you will be responsible for contracting a plumber and/or electrician to re-connect your sinks, stoves, downdrafts, disposals, outlets, and any other plumbing or electrical devices.. |

| Do my cabinets need to be completely finished before installation of counters? YES. All cabinets (including island) need to be set in place. They should be painted or stained as well. The countertops (& backsplash) installation is the FINAL stage.. |

| During installation, will any dust be created? Yes, there will be dust created during the installation. The installers will clean up immediately after the installation. However, there is a possibilty that the following day a thin layer of dust will settle on the countertops. This can be removed with a stone safe cleaner and water. If you are concerned about drapes or any other items in the room, please have them removed or covered before the installation.. |

| How long does it take to install a granite or quartz slab kitchen? A bathroom vanity? Every job is different, but installtion of a granite or quartz slab kitchen usually takes one full day. A bathroom vanity install usually takes one half day. If you are doing both, they can usually be done the same day.. |

| How long does it take to install a tile backsplash? A slab granite backsplash? A tile backsplash takes 2-3 days to complete. Any prepwork along with setting the tiles is done the day after the countertop install. The grouting and sealing is done on the following 2 days.A standard 4" granite backsplash will be installed with your new countertops. A full height slab granite backsplash usually takes one day to complete, however it is typically put in 2-3 days after the granite countertops have been installed. This is because the backspalsh is not measured until after the countertops are in place, and it must be fabricated in the shop before it can be installed.. |

| How long does it take to remove my exising countertops? Every demolition job is different, but on average, it takes only a few hours and can be done by most homeowners. However, the removal of some countertops may take a full day (ceramic tile, etc.). There is an existing charge for us to remove and dispose of your existing countertops.. |

| Once I sign up, how long do I have to wait until my countertops can be installed? While every job is different, the average waiting period is approximately 4-6 weeks from the date of deposit. This time is necessary for acquiring material, measuring, templating, fabrication and installation. . |

| Should I clean out my cabinets prior to my new countertops being installed? Yes, please clear off your countertops and empty all cabinets and drawers, especially your sink and cooktop cabinets. The installation process often creates dust, and while we try to minimize this, we will not be held responsible for damage to anything in cabinets or drawers.. |

| What can I expect when remodeling my kitchen as opposed to new construction? Certain disclaimers, which must be understood in the event that work is performed in an occupied, existing home, which may not apply to new construction. We are not responsible for the following:1. Plumbing or electrical work. 2. Removal, disposal or reinstallation of existing material, unless stated in the proposal. 3. If proposal includes demolition, plumbing fixtures intended for reuse must be removed prior to our removal of existing material or they will be discarded. There is NO guarantee of their condition after removal. 4. Damage to wallpaper, sheetrock, carpet, doors, trim, cabinets, or mirrors. 5. Removal or reinstallation of mirrors or glass doors. 6. Bracing, trim or cabinetwork. 7. The inevitable dust caused during the installation process. We suggest that precautions be taken to limit the spread of dust, by covering the nearby areas and turning off the air conditioning during the installation. . |

| What is the procedure for slide-in stoves, drop-in cooktops, and downdraft vents? All slide-in stoves, drop-in cooktops, and downdraft vents will need to be on the job site the day that we install so that the cutouts can be made and the appliances checked for proper fit.. |

| What is the procedure for using an undermount sink? A drop-in sink? If you plan to use an undermount sink, it must be delivered to our shop AT LEAST ONE WEEK prior to your installation date. The stone sink rim is cut, shaped, and polished at our shop. Any faucet holes that need to be drilled are done on the job site on the day of the installation. All faucets or fixtures must be at the job site when we install.When using a drop-in sink, we require the sink to be on the job site the day that we install. Drop-in sink cutouts must be done once the stone is in place on the countertops.. |

| What is the typical overhang on countertops? The typical overhang on all exposed edges of countertops is 1" to 1 1/2". If you would like an additional overhang on a countertop, island, or raised bar, you must be present when the field measurements are taken. This information along with other specifications must be given to the measurer at the time of the measurement.. |

| Will I need any additional supports if I have an extended overhang? Yes, it is recommended that any stone that has an overhang of 10" or more on a countertop or raised bar needs to be supported by corbells/brackets. We will advise you of how many you will need and what size they need to be. These brackets must installed prior to the time of the install.. |

| Will my countertops have any seams? Not all countertops have seams. but if you would like to approve a seam layout before fabrication of your countertops, please notify us upon signing your contract.Seam placement will be determined by us and will be based upon available slab sizes and cabinet configuration. Seams are not guaranteed to be invisible.. |

| Will my kitchen sink plumbing and cooktop need to be disconnected prior to the install? Yes, any existing sinks and/or cooktops (electrical/gas) need to be disconnected prior to the installation date. If they are not disconnected, this may push back your install date. There will be a $50 fee for us to disconnect any of these items, and we will not be held responsible should there be any damages incurred in doing so.. |
